I am not a multi task-er. I can do one thing at a time and do it well but I can not do the same thing as good when doing something else. So, I'm going to take it slow and not jump into my list of resolutions.

Meal: I made spaghetti with Prego spaghetti sauce (no meatballs), corn and buttered toast .. nothing fancy but it was good.

Language: I want to learn to speak Hebrew. I'm going to start as soon as possible, I'm eager to learn.

I went on YouTube to find some tutorials but they are all linked to sites that require a fee. It isn't that I wouldn't be willing to spend money on something I find to be valuable for myself but it's not a necessity and it's not even something I'm going to lose sleep over. I'm going to try the library or maybe look for sites online - worse case scenerio, I'll check on craigslist and hope someone is willing to negotiate.

Reading: I feel good about reading my book but I can't seem to focus. I begin to take interest and something interrupts me (the kids, balty... desperate housewives). I am sick of how much Tee Vee consumes me. I record anything and everything to my DVR. It's insane - how much television is good television. I wish I was strong enough of to turn it off for a few days ... and keep it off. I'm not so disciplined.

Anyways... it's a new year and a new week starting. I'm going to have to reorganize my thoughts and remember to add 2010 to payroll. :)

I almost forgot to write tonight. I've been reading When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris - it's not what I would call good literature but it's funny, and since it is the first book I've picked up in a very long time - I needed to keep it simple. The last book I read of David's was Naked. It's really similar to this one - I find myself chuckling to myself from time to time. I should write a book. My readers would pee their pants.

Today, I made bits of chicken breast boiled in water, orange juice and jalapenos until cooked with a side of steamed white rice. Now... I keep asking myself why I get those stomach cramps.

Also, I got a chance to play Tennis, Golf, Boxing and Bowling on the Wii with the boys. It was so much fun kicking Matthew's butt at boxing. He knocked me down but I got back up on the 9th count then I knocked him out. ahh... the little moments. After a good hour I walked from my room to the kitchen only to catch a glimpse of him practicing his boxing moves. :)

Happy New Year!

I can't say I brought in the new year with a bang. Nevertheless, it was nice bringing the new year with the people you love.

Another weekend dog-sitting Ms. Bella. She isn't high maintenance, so we're all okay about her staying over. Last night, however, she was having an attack of the crazies. She got on the sofa and barked like a mad woman... at the sofa. She then jumped on the carpet floor in my room and assaulted it with her snout. I'm thinking she was missing Elysha.

The boys of course played their WWE game.

Today... I made some ground beef tacos for dinner. I thought of making them with a side of rice but I forgot to get tomato sauce. Instead I warmed up some beans and some mashed potatoes. Balty and I were full by the end of my first two tacos.

I need to look up some recipes of foods I don't know how to make. What I really want is some good chili and that is so hard to find. Chili needs the right amount of ingredients so it wont produce an after taste. I'm not to sure if I will ever master this but I really really want to learn. I love Chili.

So it's that time to reflect again. We make our resolutions and hope that by the end of the year... we've at least remembered to finish one. This year I don't want to keep with the simple and practical resolutions... I need a challenge.

So, this year I'm going to share with you a list of resolutions I hope to meet. A list that may take over my entire existence... or not. I will however try.

1. Read a "Good Book". I never take the time to read a good book or any book. At one time I loved it but through the years my form of entertainment has become television or the internet - you do know faster information does not mean it's better. Here are a few books that have caught my eye:

When You Are Engulfed in Flames - David Sedaris

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - Douglas Adams

Lolita - Vladimir Nabokov

The Sound and The Fury - William Faulkner

Native Son - Richard Wright

I plan to read at least 30 books throughout the year and keep you on the loop. I'll share my views and opinions.. hopefully I'll receive some feedback and well we'll see how it goes.

2. Cooking. I can cook. I know how to cook. But I want to kick at cooking, especially Mexican Food.

And oh boy... so much more

3. De-clutter. I believe that says it all. It's tragic but it's so true.

4. Photographs. More snapshots of those unlucky souls that cross my path. Places... everyday life, people... my people.

5. Spending more alone time with my wonderful husband. :) No children allowed.

6. Appearance. I've never been a "poofy" girl. I don't care for jewelry, make up or big poofy hairstyles. But.. since I do feel change is good and I'm in the mood for change - this is something I will definitely work on.

7. Exercising. I don't like to use the D word... I'll use F for fit. I think fit is exactly what I mean. This is good to follow appearance.. don't you think? They both coincide with me. If I'm fit my appearance will be enhanced. Right? Right?

8. Money. Oh trouble trouble. I am so bad with money. Not that I go spending money on shoes or purses... I spend it on sodas and chips. I'm a junk food addict and I've passed it down to my family. I'm awful. I will have control. Did you hear me? I will have control!

9. Learning to speak new Language. This one is HARD! Japanese? Portuguese? English? :P

10. Blogging. YES! I said blogging.

I personally think this will be cathartic for me... good for my mind and soul. I need a calendar.
